BeHeld designs weddings, celebrations, gatherings and spaces where being there matters. We turn what makes an occasion particular into a visual language, then carry it through the story, space, materials and details—from early direction through production when needed.

I’ve spent much of my life around hospitality, gatherings and design. I care about how people feel in spaces, how a room supports what’s happening inside it, and how thoughtful details can turn an occasion into a place people remember.

I started hosting formal-ish dinner parties in high school, complete with invitations I designed, made and mailed. Since then I’ve worked in restaurants, catering and boutique hotels, helped create a restaurant, designed weddings, and spent twelve years running a nonprofit that produced around a hundred gatherings; dinners, conferences salons, and volunteer project. There were always snacks.

Thousands of pages of architectural studies trained me to imagine and rearrange spaces in my head. Years in customer-experience strategy and human-centered design taught me to listen, find patterns, question assumptions and turn what I learn into something people can actually experience.

I like people, ideas and projects before they're completely figured out. I listen for what matters, make room for different perspectives, and keep the purpose at the center while we work out what the design wants to become.

I love my craft, in part because I’m still curious about what I haven't seen yet. That’s a big part of why I enjoy the work.
